Driven Beauty: Celebrating Car Culture Through Art

Presented by the Arts Council of Moore County, in partnership with Sandhills Motoring, Driven Beauty explores the automobile as more than transportation – as an expression of design, craftsmanship, creativity, and culture. Hosted at the historic Campbell House in Southern Pines, this two-part event will bring together thoughtfully selected automobiles and the work of local artists who capture the automotive world through painting and photography.

The celebration continues with a curated display of automobiles on the Campbell House grounds. Vehicles will be arranged across the grass field and positioned strategically around the property to complement the architecture, natural landscape, and photographic character of the venue.

Open to all makes, models, and eras, the showcase will represent the diversity of car culture – from cherished classics and distinctive European automobiles to American performance cars and modern designs. Whether viewed as rolling sculpture, industrial design, cultural history, or a source of personal inspiration, every automobile has a story – and Driven Beauty provides a unique setting in which those stories can be experienced through both cars and art.
